The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) revealed 6% of dairy products imported, which does not correspond to physical and chemical indicators. In the first half of 2018, more than 140,000 samples of milk and dairy products were examined. Rospotrebnadzor imposed administrative fines totaling about 500 million rubles. A total of 255 lawsuits have been filed with the courts, 733 of the materials have been transferred to law enforcement agencies to initiate criminal proceedings.
Recall, in H1 2018 Rospotrebnadzor found falsification in 4% of 15 thousand samples of dairy products. Producers and sellers were fined 4 million rubles.
